Paid: $25 for 750ml
Distilled / Owned By: Buffalo Trace / Sazerac
Mashbill: Buffalo Trace Mash Bill #1
Aged For: Minimum 4 years, Average around 8 years
Cask Type: New charred oak
Chill Filtered: Yes
Drank: Neat, in a glencairn
Color: Rich Amber
Nose: Cloves and alcohol heat followed up with a wafting vanilla and sweet corn.
Taste: Cracked black pepper and cinnamon accompany thick vanilla and saltwater toffee. Rich and leathery
Finish: Dry and spicy with just barely a hint of rye. Leaves that nice bourbon burn in your mouth with just enough sweetness,
Overall: BT is my go to mixing and drinking bourbon. I prefer Eagle Rare for sipping but you I could never knock BT for being the best in its class bourbon for its price point.
Score: 80 out of 100
