Price: $100 for 700ml (Not available in the U.S.A.)
Distilled/Owned by: Buffalo Trace / Sazerac
Region: Frankfort, Kentucky
Mashbill: Buffalo Trace Mashbill #2
Cask Type: New charred oak, Char #4
Aged For: NAS
Chill Filtered: No
Drank: Neat, in a glencairn
Color: Orangish Copper
Nose: Strong scents of vanilla and honey. Thick cinnamon rye spice. It has a good amount of alcohol burn and barrel char.
Taste: Full and oily, with tastes of strong oak, dark chocolate, coffee, tobacco, and cloves.
Finish: Warm and long, with hints of peach, cinnamon, and caramel.
Thoughts: Much tamer than a lot of other BP bourbons I’ve had, but not in a bad way. Miles ahead of the regular Blanton’s in all respects. If this were stateside I’d consider getting myself a bottle.
Score: 88 out of 100
