Paid: $27 for 750ml
Distilled/Owned by: Jim Beam / Beam Suntory
Region: Kentucky
50% ABV
Aged For: 9 Years (Newer versions are now NAS)
Mashbill: 76% corn, 12% rye, 10% malted barley
Cask Type: New charred oak, Char #4
Chill Filtered: Unknown
Drank: Neat, in a glencairn
Color: Light Brown
Nose: Bazooka Bumblegum (I kid you not), The beam peanut, caramel, and honey
Taste: Tobacco, signature peanut funk, oak, marzipan, and yeasty corn malt. Has a thick chewy consistency.
Finish: Fresh is how I would describe it before the bubblegum returns. Medium warmth and peppercorns with cinnamon.
Thoughts: If I couldn’t taste or smell the damn bubblegum I’d rate this higher for the good mouthfeel. That said, not a fan of chewing gum in my bourbon.
Score: 75 out of 100
