Drank: Neat, in a glencairn
Color: Light Orange
Nose: Rich peat, bacon, salted meats, leather and smoke
Taste: I am not surprised by the thick taste of peat smoke that hits the palate. Oily with hints of smoked salmon and oak. Bits of ginger and peppercorn.
Finish: Warm with a good tingle. Cinnamon and tar notes in the mouth.
Overall: A real “meaty” expression and another good peat bomb introduction for scotch drinkers.
