Drank: Neat, in a glencairn
Nose: Honey and toffee. Sea air and salt spray. A bit of fudge is present and a vegetal undertone.
Taste: Salty citrus, lemon & lime, caramel, a slight copper taste and just a couch of hazelnut.
Finish: Drier than the palate, with bits of oak, heather and grass. Briny throughout.
Thoughts: I can certainly understand the maritime associations now. Sort of reminds me of salted caramel.
