Nose: Wheaters have a distinct smell to me and I can certainly tell with this. Vanilla, honey, butterscotch, and a bit of baking spice.
Taste: Oak and tobacco show the time spent in the barrel. Vanilla and caramel sweetness. Very warm and reminds me of something from a bakery.
Finish: Warms up quite a bit and displays some cinnamon, and to my palate jalapeno pepper, dries out in the finish.
Thoughts: I am not often the biggest fan of wheat as a grain in my whisky, but this is a solid expression and is unique in the yeasty bread and bakery profile it gives.
Score: 85 out of 100
