Drank: Neat, in a glencairn

Nose: Cherry, Dark Chocolate, vanilla, seasoned oak, and cigar tobacco
Taste: Cinnamon, vanilla with mint, peppercorns, and cherry cola.
Finish: Warm and lingering. Caramel, coffee bean, tobacco, leather and oak.
In comparison to batch 4: I get more of a fruity cherry note, and more luscious mouthfeel that’s less drying than the previous batch. In addition some of the confectionery notes have fallen off and been replaced with sweet tobacco notes.
Thoughts: Stagg always changes with some air, so I’ll have to come back to it later and see the changes. Still and excellent barrel proofer at a great price point.
