Mashbill: 78% corn, 10% rye, 12% malted barley
Cask Type: New charred oak, Char #3
Charcoal Filtered: Yes
Color: Orangish copper
Drank: Neat, in a glencairn
Nose: Sweet corn, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, oak, and tobacco.
Taste: Spicy and full bodied, clove and more tobacco notes with a hint of rye spice. Peppercorn, sandalwood, and burnt barrel char.
Finish: Warm, and lingering. Black pepper, cloves, and leather.
Thoughts: I got a fairly spicy barrel it seems, with the vanilla and caramel very toned down to what I am used to with Elijah Craig.
Score: 82 out of 100
