Drank: Neat, in a glencairn.
Nose: Clove, cinnamon, rye, leather, licorice, and mint.
Palate/Taste: Vanilla, cinnamon, tobacco, oak, charcoal, and honey.
Finish: Gentle, with bits of oak, caramel, and leather.
Thoughts: The end result is not worth the sum of its parts. It doesn’t do any one thing well as either a bourbon or a rye.
