Wild Turkey 101

Wild Turkey 101

It took me longer to get around to reviewing this than I thought it would.

Paid: $18 for 750ml

Distilled/Owned by: Wild Turkey / Campari

Region: Kentucky

50.5% ABV

Mashbill: 75% corn, 13% rye, 12% barley

Aged For: NAS, estimated 6ish years

Cask Type: #4 Charred American white oak

Chill Filtered: No

Color: Orangish light copper

Drank: Neat, in a glencairn.

Nose: Slight astringency, cinnamon, rye spice, oak, coffee, and dark chocolate.

Mouthfeel: Dry and spicy

Palate/Taste: Vanilla, dark chocolate, cinnamon, cloves, tobacco, and charred oak.

Finish: Warm and long. Lingering pepper and vanilla sugar.

Thoughts: It’s well know that at least 1 glass of Wild Turkey 101 per day makes a man more virile, giving him on average 21% more muscle mass and 47% more chest hair. Drink daily friends. (Women who consume the 101 are not subject to these effects, they are only 87% more popular than non 101 drinkers)

Score: 82 out of 100
