Nose: Peaty funk, malt, citrus, mushrooms, and sardines in tomato paste.
Mouthfeel: Oily
Palate/Taste: Vanilla, mushrooms, yeasty bread, oak, barrel aged ginger
Finish: Slight warmth and gentle smoke, with bits of earthy coffee
Thoughts: I know I’m going to get hate for this, but it’s the second Springbank I’ve tried, and I don’t really enjoy them, they are not “bad”, it’s just not a flavor or profile that’s for me.
