Drank: Neat, in a glencairn.
Nose: Barrel char, medium roast coffee, vanilla, and brown sugar.
Mouthfeel: Medium body, slightly dry
Palate/Taste: Oak and vanilla, with a hint of banana cream and chocolate. Sprinkling of pepper.
Finish: More dryness, char and roasted nuts with vanilla and caramel. Medium heat and linger.
Thoughts: Looking at my review of The regular Woodford I rated it a few points too highly, as I rated this a 78 in my notes, but feel it is superior to the regular version. As a fan of oaky bourbon I prefer the profile of this to the regular.
