Distilled/Owned by: Undisclosed Indiana Distillery (MGP) / Barrell
Mashbill: Undisclosed blend of corn, rye, and barley
Aged For: 7 Years
Cask Type: Ex-Bourbon
Chill Filtered: No
Drank: Neat, in a glencairn
Nose: Sharp grains, rye spice, vanilla, slight oak, pepper, herbs, and wood varnish.
Feel: Medium body
Taste: Rye and herbs with a pinch of dill, caramel maple drizzle, vanilla, and oak
Finish: Slight clove and pepper, with a hint of anise and cured tobacco. Medium warmth and length.
Thoughts: I pegged this as a rye blind, and it’s not quite like anything I have tried. That said, it’s pretty decent.
Score: 82 out of 100
