Drank: Neat, in a glencairn.
Nose: Earthy sherry and oak with mulled wine and gentle smoke. Raisins and amaretto.
Mouthfeel: Medium body
Palate/Taste:Slight peat, chocolate, sour berries, spices, brine, and fig sauce.
Finish: Shorter, but hot. Bitter cherries and wet sherry casks, oranges, peat, and caramel.
Thoughts: My favorite of the Bowmores I have tried, I’m still meaning to try a Bowmore IB, as I hear that they are far better. It’s a blend of sour fruits and smoke that I can see having its fans.
