Century Reserve 21

Distilled/Owned by: Highwood Distillers

Region: Canada

40% ABV

Aged For: 21 Years

Mashbill: 100% corn

Cask Type: Undisclosed

Chill Filtered: Unknown

Color: Straw

Drank: Neat, in a glencairn

Nose: Vanilla, sugar, sweet corn, wood, and light spices

Feel: Light bodied

Taste: Milk chocolate and vanilla, butter and corn, butterscotch

Finish: Short and light, more vanilla, linen, and caramel

Thoughts: Its simple, sweet, and very easy to drink, which is what I’m assuming the distiller is going for, much better than many of its Canadian brethren. It’s called rye but it’s 100% corn.

Score: 78 out of 100
