Price: $25 for 750ml
Distilled/Owned by: Jim Beam / Beam Suntory
Aged For: NAS
Cask Type: New charred oak, Char #4
Chill Filtered: Yes?
Color: Deep amber
Drank: Neat, in a glencairn.
Nose: Caramel, rye, vanilla, and wood shavings, slight roasted nuts
Mouthfeel: Light bodied
Palate/Taste: Raw grain mash, vanilla bean with herbs, peanuts, brown sugar, and oak
Finish: Short, medium heat, sweet corn, sawdust, and spiced toffee
Thoughts: It’s a gentle rye without a lot of spice, and if I had to compare it to something it would be Rittenhouse, done in the beam style with their signature nutty influence.
Score: 75 out of 100
