Drank: Neat, in a glencairn.
Nose: Caramel and smoke, with hints of oak char, earthy grass, and grains.
Mouthfeel: Thin
Palate/Taste: Slight peat smoke, lemon tart, baked bread, pepper, and oak.
Finish: Under medium in length with a slight warmth, lingering smoke and caramel grains.
Thoughts: This was certainly smokier than the regular black label, but I’d rate it the same. Different, profile, but of equal quality.
