Evan Williams Bottled in Bond

I’ve decided to revisit the ol’ Evan BiB as the label has changed on it since my previous review of it and I think it’s a great cheap buy and an easy sipper!

Paid: $20

Distilled/Owned by: Heaven Hill

Region: Kentucky

50% ABV

Aged For: NAS

Mashbill: 78% corn, 12% barley, 10% rye

Cask Type: New charred oak, Char #3

Chill Filtered: Charcoal filtered

Color: Copper

Drank: Neat, in a glencairn

Nose: Sweet corn, vanilla, oak, cinnamon, and pepper

Feel: Medium body

Taste: Vanilla, caramel, oak, corn mash, and cinnamon, and butterscotch

Finish: Slightly sour, with oak, medium warmth and linger with a bit of coffee

Thoughts: The new bottle hasn’t changed in my mind from the old one yet, still a great buy and tasty bourbon.

Score: 82 out of 100
