Distilled/Owned by: ?

Region: Cognac, France

40% ABV

Aged For: NAS, XO

Cask Type: French Oak

Chill Filtered: Likely

Color Added: Likely

Color: Not quiet mahogany

Drank: Neat, in a glencairn

Nose: Light grapes, figs, dried fruits, sour notes, and light orchard fruits

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body

Palate/Taste: Crisp grape, citrus tang, raisins, pears, a bit of apricot

Finish: Light to medium warmth and length, grapes and dried fruits, with citrus and apples

Thoughts: A step up from many of the VS and VSOPs I’ve had, and supposedly one of the highest selling XOs in Europe, but the more I dive into Cognac, I find it’s not my brandy of choice.

Score: 77 out of 100
