Region: Jalisco

45% ABV

Master Distiller: Miguel Cedeno Cruz

Bottle and Barrel # : 219 / 12941

Color: 0.4. Corn gold

Drank: Neat, in a glencairn

Nose: Lot’s a of vanilla, caramel, and oak, citrus, agave, pepper, and salt

Feel: Medium to full bodied

Taste: Sweet, with berries, oak, vanilla, rye whisky notes, herbs, although the agave is a bit of an after thought

Finish: Medium warmth and length, whisky, oak, pepper, citrus, earth, and finally the agave shows back up

Thoughts:  As primarily a whisky drinker, this is more of my style, but those who want a spirit driven by agave are likely to be turned off at how muted the agave is.

Score: Recommended
