Color: Auburn Brown

Drank: Neat, in a glencairn

Nose: Rich vanilla oak, sweet caramel custard. Very sweet and lots of brown sugar in the nose.

Taste: A bit of clove and pepper hit the tongue. Oak, rye spice, mint, vanilla, and just a slight after taste of banana. The spice is surprising after the sweetness of the nose. Good thick viscosity.

Finish: Warm and lingering with a good mouthfeel. Tobacco, toffee and more vanilla oak sweetness return.

Thoughts: Solid all around bourbon, doesn’t do anything amazing but not real flaws either.

Score: 82 out of 100
