Drank: Neat, in a glencairn.

Nose: Bannanas, cinnamon, rye, nutmeg, oak, and caramel, my god it’s got a lot of banana!

Mouthfeel: Medium body

Palate/Taste: Youngish, pepper, leather, heat, rye, banana, and vanilla

Finish: Hot, with pepper and oak with rye overtones. Medium length.

Thoughts: If you like bananas, have I got the rye for you! Some more age could improve this, as it isn’t horrible, but it’s very unbalanced.

Nose: Banana flavored grain, metallic peanuts, oak, bubblegum, and vanilla

Mouthfeel: Watery

Palate/Taste: Cheap caramel flavoring, sweet corn, rotten banana peel, apples, and charcoal

Finish: No warmth or length with a hint of apple pie

Thoughts: It’s Jack Daniel’s that’s been filtered down to make it even worse

Finish: Short with little warmth, peanut brittle and vanilla.

Thoughts: Astringent, bitter, watery, tastes like assman

Drank: Neat, in a glencairn.

Nose: Corn wax, cherry, cola, blueberry waffles, toffee, and strong alcohol.

Mouthfeel: Hot and dry

Palate/Taste:Cracked pepper and cinnamon. Oak, chili powder, mint.

Finish: Long and hot, caramel and oak with cherry and root beer flavors.

Thoughts: I was really hoping the waffle notes from the nose would carry through, but it was just a hot and spicy cola drink. Still it’s a step in the right direction for Jack.
