Wild Turkey Master’s Keep Revival

WT MK Revival

Region: Kentucky

50.5% ABV

Aged For: NAS (12 to 15 years)

Mashbill: 75% corn, 13% rye, 12% malted barley

Cask Type: New charred oak, finished in Oloroso sherry casks

Chill Filtered: Yes?

Color: Deep amber

Drank: Neat, in a glencairn

Nose: Oaky vanilla, red fruity, pepper, cream, cinnamon, fino sherry, and spices

Feel: Medium body

Taste: Tobacco, leather, cloves, dry sherry, oak, dark coffee, vanilla, and fruit

Finish: Medium warmth and length, citrus and berries. Dry, with oak, leather, tobacco, spices, and bitter chocolate

Thoughts: Out of the Master’s Keep releases I would rank this second, behind Decades. I really wanted a more supple body on this to make things flow together. The sherry influence is minimal, so if you prefer your bourbon more traditional, the sherry doesn’t punch as hard as say a Joe Magnus.
