Finish: Short length, light warmth, molasses, sugar, vanilla, coconut, and coca-cola

Thoughts: I prefer my rum neat, but this is pretty close to drinking a rum and coke on its own, not worth the price.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied

Palate/Taste: Vanilla ice cream, brown sugar, more vanilla, hints of marzipan and caramel

Finish: Light warmth and short, caramel, oak, sugar, and vanilla

Thoughts: It’s not a bad rum, but if it is indeed 23 years in a cask It doesn’t show.

Finish: Light warmth, shortish medium length, brown sugar, molasses, coconut, vanilla, butterscotch

Thoughts: A rum that has many sweet notes, but I don’t think it’s been dosed so that’s unique.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body

Palate/Taste: Oak and flowers, perfume, honey, nail polish, feinty, and white tea

Finish: Medium warmth and length, flowers, perfume, honey, and lemon juice

Thoughts: This one was different, it had a lot of the intensity of a Jamaican Rum, but not the funk I’ve come to associate with them. That said, this is very much a try before buy rum.

Palate/Taste: Bright molasses, followed by oaky tannins, toffee, and cigar tobacco

Finish: Medium warmth and length, Oaky and drying, molasses, brown sugar, bourbon

Thoughts: Very straightforward Bajan rum, it’s actually a bit boring to be honest, but as any easy to find aged rum it’s better than many of it’s dosed competitors in the same price bracket.

Nose: Very much a Spanish rum, airy honey, molasses, sharp spice, and slight alcohol

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied

Palate/Taste: Light oak tannins, molasses, vanilla, honey, cream, and cococnut

Finish: Vanilla, oak, coconut, medium length, light to medium warmth.

Thoughts: It reminds me of a more creamy version of Mount Gay black barrel, while decent, if your in the States it is not worth the trouble to import.

Finish: Medium warmth and length, crisp and clean, oak, brown sugar, almond, and seltzer water

Thoughts: Leaves a very crisp feeling in my mouth and a massive improvement over the 8 year I tried
